The cryptocurrencies had the opportunity to attract mass adoption.

There have been many events in the past year that have raised the voices of decades of criticism against central authorities. Poverty and quarantine riots, George Floyd protests, events before and after the US elections and many other regional protests carried people to the streets despite the corona virus. There have always been such injustices and criticisms, but in the 2020s, it seems likely that will result in much larger actions, with the effect of being in a period when mass movements and people were more dependent on communication organs. Now, Gamestop’s stock crisis is crushing trust in the financial markets. It is highly probable that history will write today as the Enron crisis of the time. A good understanding and analysis of the instincts that trigger these events will give us insight into new systems and orders to be installed.

Blame protects the ego. In order not to be offended by one’s own self, one tends to find the reason for failures in others’ deficiencies and mistakes. When the systems fail to successfully pass the required exams, the invoice is issued to the existing authorities. In environments where alternatives are sought, an opportunity arises for repressed thoughts. In these cases, the scene belongs to the player who has been standing in the bench.

For the financial markets, the player that has been standing in bench over the past decade is cryptocurrencies that many of us think are just bitcoins. What happens in the Wall Street today ($GME stock crisis) prompts people to believe in a decentralized system. Thats what we call DeFi today, and the flagship is Ethereum. . Immediately after the Gamestop stock crisis, the crowds organized on Twitter and Reddit within hours, embracing the ecosystem known as Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is a trailer of what will happen in the coming years. In other words, the traditional money Game is just Stopped! At least the community has managed to get their full attention.

We will encounter this divergence behavior in financial markets in many other socioeconomic balances. Rising voices for human rights, along with income injustice and working class organization, can unite larger masses and cause much more serious uprisings in our recent history. But remember, change takes its power from rising criticism. The weaknesses of old systems will be the seed of the new systems.
